Fees and Policies

ATTENDANCE

IT IS IMPAIRATIVE THAT STUDENTS ATTEND ALL CLASSES BUT EVEN MORE SO DURING THE MONTHS OF MAY AND JUNE

If your child, or anyone in your home is sick, please do not come to class. There are available make up sessions for any missed classes. 

CODE OF CONDUCT

All dancers and parents are expected to:

  • Be polite, kind, and respectful to their teachers and fellow dancers at all times in the studio, during performances, and on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).*

  • Clean up after themselves at the studio, and during and after performances.

*Any infraction may result in a student's dismissal from the class and/or the studio. 

PAYMENT POLICY

  • Payment is due on the first class of the month. Cash, check or money order.

  • Registration ($15), Recital fee ($20), and Custome Retainer ($50) are due in August, or at time of registration. (these are non refundable retainers)

  • June 2024 lesson payment is due with your October 2023 lesson payment. 

  • An undertermined costume balance will be due as soon as known and will be given to you in writing.

    • This amount will vary from class to class based on suit selection.

    • Costumes will be given when your account is balance zero, costume balance and lessons, and during the week prior to the show.

  • All payments received after the 15th of the month will be assessed a $5 late fee.

  • Accounts that become more than 30 days past due (2 months behind) will not be allowed to return to dance until the account is paid current and the lessons for the remainder of the year are paid in full. 

Dance Dress Code

All female students are required to wear a leotard and tights for all styles of dance. Dancers should come to class dressed and ready to dance, please ensure they have a cover-up of some kind to wear to and from the waiting room.

  • Leotards may be any color and style.

  • Tights should be worn under the leotard.

  • Dance skirts may be worn.

  • Hair will be pulled back into a ponytail, bun or braid and will be contained with headbands, hair ties or clips to avoid lose strands of hair from swinging around the face. 

  • Earing studs are allowed and are not to hang below the lobes.

  • Jewlery will be left at home (we are not responsible for items left in dance bags that may become lost/stolen).

All male students are to wear lose fitting clothes that do not restrict their movement but is also not so lose that it hangs off their body.

Dance Shoes

All students should have a small bag to carry all of their dance shoes to and from class (Miss Glynis has some available if needed). 

  • Pink leather ballet shoes.

  • Black tap shoes.

  • Intermediate/Advanced/Adults only - black leather jazz shoes. 

  • Water only (due to allergies no food or drinks is permitted in the waiting room or studio).

Dancers may bring a notebook with them to collect stamps in.
